The first thing that any person notices with the Canon Pixma MP480 All-in-One printer is the look. The noise is the next biggest thing you will notice. It makes quite a loud grinding sort of noise when it is starting. This printer was not designed to sustain heavy use. You have to load the paper into the rear side of the printer & since you can only fit in one hundred pages at a time, you should not choose to use this printer for a busy place. Also, there is a manual duplexing feature which ensures that you can print on both sides of a page even though there is no automatic duplexing feature. For a person not used to this, it is not very convenient though.
It wasn’t a surprise at all when the quality of the printouts was excellent. A four by six photo that was printed in normal quality took a little less than one minute to print & was dry when it came out and had vivid and sharp colors which could be compared to a large number of dedicated photo printers.
When used at draft quality, this printer printed out black & white pages in as little as 3 seconds and when you printed colored pages it took you just about 5 seconds. This time increased when you printed pages at normal quality by a few seconds. Even though this printer uses only a couple of ink tanks, it is still capable of producing very good looking prints.
You can also choose to get a Bluetooth adapter with this printer which will enable you to print pictures straight from a mobile phone that has Bluetooth. This form of printing is quite popular and everyone nowadays wants a bit of the action and is willing to spend the money to be able to afford it. This printer is an ideal choice for a quiet home.
