The integrated graphics market
Since its inception, have integrated chipsets are traditionally seen as anemic, particularly with gamers and hardware enthusiasts. This is mainly because chipset manufacturers have hesitated so long to adopt the latest hardware technologies in their products. For example, using an industry leader Intel i752 graphics for their years in the integrated chipsets. This graphics core has been updated recently with 845GE, despite the fact that it is on technology that is older than four years.
Taiwainese manufacturer VIA, SiS and ALi is not much better, such as Intel, to offer its integrated graphics performance is roughly equivalent to an NVIDIA TNT2 Ultra graphics accelerator. All these manufacturers have put a focus on value, offering easy enough to put the output into a 2D representation, little or no focus was put on 3D performance.
GeForce graphics within
If the NVIDIA nForce chipset in 2001, presented the last, all the so-called “rules” of chipsets have been integrated. The nForce Integrated Graphics Processor (IGP) used a variant of the NVIDIA GeForce2 MX graphics core with DirectX 7-Piece with hardware transform and lighting in the list of functions. Thus the nForce IGP a graphics generation was set behind the desktop in terms of the feature when it was launched, clearly the gap between desktop graphics and integrated graphics. For the first time in the history of integrated chipsets, 3D performance was a strong selling factor.
Of course, we all know by now how nForce played out in the end. Motherboard for the chipset came much later than expected, and was initially priced higher than expected. NVIDIA later released at a lower cost version without the integrated graphics, but by the time it was the feature-set began to show signs of age, particularly the lack of support for DDR333 memory.
NVIDIA nForce2 are still problems with delays, but unlike nForce debut, the competition was not in a position to respond with a competing product. In addition, the NVIDIA chipsets without integrated graphics on the market brought
first, with motherboards with integrated graphics shipping in 2003. nForce2 support the latest AMD processors and memory types, and improved athletic graphics controller with support for NVIDIA TwinView technology.
This brings us to MSI K7N2G-ILSR. This board fuses NVIDIA nForce2 IGP chipset with integrated graphics, with Dolby Digital support of MCP-T. On top of the MSI package, an integrated Serial ATA controller and an external holder for the output to include on your TV. And, of course, as an MSI motherboard is the K7N2G move-ILSR price.
